1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the HANDiY platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a HANDiY account. By creating an account you represent that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.
3. The HANDiY service
HANDiY is a homeowner support platform that connects users with verified experts for live DIY guidance and trusted contractor referrals. HANDiY does not perform construction work itself.
4. Payments
HANDiY is pay-as-you-go. You authorize HANDiY (via Stripe) to charge your payment method for sessions you start. Refunds are handled per our published refund policy.
5. Expert and contractor obligations
Experts and contractors agree to maintain required licensing, insurance, and conduct standards. HANDiY may suspend or remove any account for safety, quality, or policy violations.
6. Disclaimer
HANDiY guidance is informational and does not replace inspection by a licensed professional where required by law. Always follow local codes and safety practices.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HANDiY's total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms is limited to the greater of $100 or the fees you paid HANDiY in the prior 12 months.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
